xbox 360 & movies

I've got an external hard drive with several movies on it. I know that t works with the xbox 360 (I tried it out on a friends), but how does the navigation compare to the PS3 or the Apple TV?

I noticed you can't search the listings, or even page up/down.

Thanks.

Hook it up and try it, sheesh. If the files are in a playable format for the 360 it's easy as pie. You just go to videos and they show up. You might have to select the external device first.
Easier than the PS3. On the PS3 I have to select Video, then the device, then press the triangle to browse all files, then navigate to the appropriate folder.
You can also do a Tversity media server on your PC and browse from either gaming system. It works really well and you can stream 1080p if you have a wired network connection.

I've already hooked it up to the 360, and it worked fine. The only problem is the navigation. There are quite a number of files, so if you want to see something at the bottom of the list, you have to 'down arrow' a whole bunch to find it.

I was hoping the PS3 had search capabilities.
