Can a OE shadow trim set for UK E93 be ordered?

Im just curious to know if a whole new OE shadow trim for an E93 M3 set can be ordered from a dealer in UK or elsewhere it might be avaliable (website)and shipped to the US vs getting it painted? Does anybody know?

What do you currently have? I have a titanium shadow set currently that is immaculate and may be interested in a swap.

I think he's talking about the exterior Shadowline trim which can be ordered on UK cars (US E93s all come with the matt aluminium trim).

As far as I know you can't order the shadowline trim from the dealer in the UK, I ordered my UK E93 without knowing that shadowline was an option, when I found out I asked the dealer but they said its a factory option (my car was built by this time).

Now that the car has arrived I actually really like the standard trim as it goes nicely with Space Grey.

For 2009, all 3 series in the US equipped with the sport package get shadowline trim. This means that this part should now be available in the US also. Inquire with your dealer.

I spoke with the dealer yesterday and it is avaliable but they are mad expensive being that most of the pieces come attached to the factory seals that go all the way around each piece of the hard top. Anyways, buying a whole set in show trim will cost $2300 according to the dealer so I dont think I'll get it. I'll just get the pieces sanded and painted with the same finish. BTW $2300 includes the hartop pieces and doors all that.

a couple members have had it painted, and a few others have taped it. both looked good. search around to find the threads.

Hi JMD0977,

It sucks you cannot shadlowline in the States, it looks good on some colours whereas chrome looks good on silver shades. Anyway, hope you sort something out for your MR vert as the black trim sets better with that colour.

$2300 its not cheap, whats the cost on getting the trims painted?
