Brought home a new car

Well, let's just say several months ago, I took delivery of a beautiful CLK63 Black Series. With only 80 miles on the odometer, I was in a bad hit and run accident. Fortunately, I walked away unscathed, but my then new car was totaled with damages exceeding $90,000. The guy was caught just half an hour later since witnesses caught his license plate.

Insurance finally wrote me a check after much debate about what the vehicle was worth....yes, they wanted to pay less than what I paid, which was absolutely unacceptable for an 80mile car. After threatening with suit, they gave way and paid out for my car and plus some since it is limited.

Today, it finally arrived after sorting through some 20 cars on the market. This one's perfect. Just wanted to share. Glad this is back in the garage and ready for the roads.

Just a final thought. I've owned many cars for the past 20 years and the Black Series is one of those that can compare to any of them from a performance standpoint. It is an excellent deal for the performance and fortunately, in this market, I actually paid quite a bit less for this one than my other one just 2 mos ago.

One of my absolute favorites. My dealer called me the other day.. saying that some one just traded one in... SOOO TEMPTING :-)

Please post pictures of your other rides.. And don't tell anyone what you do.. After all why would you give up your Colombian connection on this board anyway :-)

Gorgeous ride. I personally think the Black Series look best in silver. Don't know if you remember, but I met you at Cars and Coffee some 6-7 months ago. Your rides are absolutely sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes John I remember. It's been a while hasnt' it. Fun always to meet new people and talk cars. When you are down this way, do let me know so we can grab some coffee or tea over a sunny weekend.

As for the Black, I was initially going to go with my original color of white. One night on PCH, I saw a silver one fly by me and thought that Iridium Silver is the color that is the most neutral of all colors offered. I am trying to keep the driving down to a minimum until I get a bra on this one.

Certainly. I've been meaning to get a professional photog to do shoot of all the cars together. Right now my cars are all scattered between three properties as my main home garage is under construction to house the entire fleet. Target of completion is this summer. Then I'm going to have to get a few friends to mobilize my cars back home.

i don't know if they're at dealers but there was one at pebble beach for the concours

Make sure your buddy takes it over to C&C and let me know when he would be there. Would love to see it in person.
