41k mile bearings

A picture is worth 1000 words. I needed to remove the pan to put in a dipstick. While I was in there is decided to do the bearings and rod bolts. I did them on the previous 59k motor that never got out of the garage, so I already had to bolts. Just ordered some new stock 702/703 bearings and had them WPC treated.

For some reason in Firefox the pic is showing rotated...should be top and bottom (#1 to left). If the pic is vertical, #1 is on top (top bearing on right).

I'll be changing these every 2 years (race car).

Kudos for changing bearings and bolts. At least you dont have to worry about where you stand on condition.

Seems every s65 that has been opened up does show [some] bearing wear! Eventually, a few will blow up but it isn't far from the truth to conclude that every (or ~95%) s65 on the road has bearing wear.
