Good "over the counter" wheel cleaner

Any recommendations on a decent wheel cleaner I could pick up from pepboys, auto zone, etc.? Something to get my wheels nice and new again like iron x or sonax. For 220m stock wheels if that matters. Thanks!

None of the crap at auto parts stores compares to any of the good stuff. I've been where you are and nothing ever worked as well.

if you want the power of sonax you won't find it anywhere. local stores won't help you you're going to need something like chemical guy's diablo gel or auto finesse imperial.

the only one worth anything in local stores was Meguirs Hot Wheels that was by far the most effective of the OTC products though it really doesnt hold a candle to sonax or even as the above poster mentioned diablo by chemical brothers, which is my current fave since they are so close and pretty affordable.

i'd rather use soap and water than waste my money on some over the counter stuff.
Otherwise, I like sonax.

+1 on Chemical Guys Diablo gel. Make sure to wax the wheels after washing. It will save you tons of time and effort in the future.

As others have said, you won't really find much in these department stores that might fit your needs.

My favorite is Auto Finesse Imperial agitated with an EZ Brush. Top it off with Auto Finesse Mint Rims Wheel Wax and your efforts of regular cleaning will be drastically reduced!
