Will F80 rear caliper fit e9x?

I'm curious if there is a rear caliper with quick pad-swap windows that will fit the e9x and work with the stock rotors?

It's a lot to ask for but you'd be surprised how many calipers are interchangeable on other platforms (Porsche and Audi for example).

I certainly didn't think I would find the answer this quickly.

If the F3x BMW Performance Calipers are the same as the F8x calipers, then I think this gets you there (more parts needed): LINK

I'm not sure this would work with our OE rotors though and if I have to buy new rotors I may as well just get the Stoptech rear BBK.

Both ways require customization and milling of OE parts, no thanks.

Perhaps these 135i rear calipers will fit, look to have easy-swap windows, no idea what track pads might be available for them though, LINK.

And about 10 threads down from this one, a solution!! Perhaps my title was a little bit off but here you go, rear calipers with quick swap pad windows that work with stock sized rotors:

Even custom painted and for a pretty good price.

My advice is to make sure you do your homework on brake balance before going down that path. You may end up with a very expensive headache if you don't!

You have to make sure the piston sizes and effective radius of the discs are correct. Otherwise you're going to hurt brake performance more than you'll help it...longer stopping distances, over-amplified front brakes, poor pedal travel/feel, inconsistent wear, ABS issues...the list of potential problems is lengthy.

I went down this path. I'm glad I scrapped the project and went with the current stoptech 380/355 kit I have now. Less headaches, Restored oem braking nature and better pad selection.

Thanks. I've already decided to just get by with swapping the rear pads in the OEM calipers for now and then ultimately I plan to get the Stoptech ST-40 rear BBK to go with the ST-40 front kit I already have.

After investigating this option it doesn't seem like it's worth the headache and additional potential headaches down the road to save a few bucks.
