Chances for Imola Red on MY 2013 E92??
I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this. I know the UK got the special edition M3s that come in either Min White, San Blue, or Imola, but 2 out of 3 are already avaialble to us. MW being an option and SB by special $$$ order so they really are not all that special of colors anymore. Why not give us Imola..
I'd love it if BMW offered Imola on the last year of the E92. Actually it's the only thing that would make my buy new. I'm not sure spending 5K for Individual Imola (which I'm sure we can) is worth it.. Any rumors in relation to this?

I doubt any new factory colors will be added for the final model year. As for special editions, maybe, but your best shot would probably be going through Individual. That might even be cheaper than a special edition, not to mention give you more flexibility with options (a lot of specials lock you into certain things, like DCT).

I miss my Imola Red E46. That was one of the best M Colors ever IMO. It was just more deep and rich compared to the Melbourne and other reds available now.

Looked at Hellrot, but its just too bright IMO. From what I've seen its not very rich and lacks some luster. Basically it looks a bit plain to me...NICE..but plain.

I think it depends on the picture as well. I need to see it in person, but I doubt that will happen. It looks nice in this pic..

Yea looking at these the light def matters. Hellrot looks really nice in darker setting, but in the day time it the day light its seems to loose some polish.
Not to rag on the member who owns this one, but I'm not a fan of the orange look in the daylight.. I'd take it, but wouldnt be my first choice

Its funny how bright light really changes some colors. Imola looks good no matter what the lighting. I've found with my sparkling gray E90 it looks purplish or eggplant in bright sun. Jerez Black obviously changes as well which is why I still prefer the jet black color if I had to choose between the two.
In the end it's all personal taste. Go with what makes you happy.

I was replying to your statement:
"MW being an option and SB by special $$$ order so they really are not all that special of colors anymore. Why not give us Imola.." I.e. I assume SB means Santorini Blue. Quote:

^^^ Just saw the GC Imola. That means people should be able to do Individual Imola now! I don't think it was offered before recently.
Man...now I'm gonna wanna order brand new My initial plan was to find a 2011.5

Everybody who has previously tried to get Imola on an E9x was shot down, I thought because 1) it wasn't being offered elsewhere in the BMW color portfolio, and/or 2) they hadn't reformulated it to be water based (I think?). Now that it is being offered again as a production color the chances could be better. It is my favorite M color of all and would look great on an E92.

I cant wait to see Imola on the E92 . If it looks as good as I think it will I just may have to go new and keep it for years.
Have a feeling an Imola, MT, 2013 E92 M3 ZCP coupe with CF roof will hold its value pretty well among M enthusiast
