True, but stock doesn't go all the way around either, and the LS3 outer rings are actually smaller to allow for it. Since OSS dropped off the map and stopped responding to forum members, I'd suggest the LS3 kit just because it's an easier DIY, but the Orions look just as good IMO. They look super blue on that pic, more so than in person.

Send OSS a direct email and he'll respond. That's how I contacted him last week.

Nope. There is a separate bulb just for them. I don't think there are separate high beam bulbs, just xenon pointed low and same xenon pointed high.

Tried. Contacted in Sept, sent a few emails back and forth to his personal yahoo acct asking about getting on the core exchange, then in Oct i asked how the waiting list was going, no response. Sent several followups over the next week, in to November, no response. Then I began reading similar reports from other forum members, and until your post I figured they were out of business. Worked out for the best though since it didn't end up being a difficult DIY for me.

I'm leaning towards AiB but maybe the new Lux, who knows. Too many choices.

Too many choices; none that are good compared to the LEDs that bimmer is putting on the new models (although I haven't seen AiB's in person). How do the AiB's compare to the new LEDs from BMW?

I don't want the brightest angel eyes out there. Stock brightness is good. Are the AIBs as bright as stock? If so, then that's perfect for me.

I agree. I'm not after the brightest thing out there. I want a nice even ring in something that is not yellow.

Do you have anymore pics? My basic issue is that I don't want "bleeding" from the light where you can't make out that they are actually angel eyes. Usually, brightest = too much light, taking away from the angel eye look of the vehicle.

Yes there are Lots of pics up on this site. you can also look at my web site and there are pictures there too.

There is no bleeding from these lights. HID's in my opinion are too bright and they bleed too much. LUX are bright enough to be seen in the daytime and work to make the outer ring as equal to the inner ring as possible.

To be honest, the LCI oem rings look nothing like those in person. In real life they are much brighter and much bluer.

I wish there was more factual information and pictures, rather than some of the obvious borderline "technically accurate" information that is spewed every time this subject comes up.

example, that pic of the LCI eyes is NOTHING like the real thing...it's certainly much brighter, uniform, and blue-ish hue to it, than that picture shows.

* sigh *

the issue lies with trying to capture the actual "brightness" on camera. best bet if for you to find someone local to you with the AE set up and see for yourself...another good reason to find and make a local meet...

After seeing the LCI IRL - Anyone else agree the LCI rings are too blue/purple?

You guys can also check out the Vendor Feedback section on the 1 series forums which is almost 2 pages long to see the list of happy customers and make a post on how many if any had to warranty their kit at all. I have had 2 warranty cases out of all the kits I have sold.

Here is some raw un edited pictures...

I have the Alpine HID angeleyes kit on my e92 M3, and is truly happy at how bright its is in daylight. As mentioned by Alex the HID bulb doesn't run hot, I'm running the kit for almost 5 months and have been reliable. I have the AIBs on my M6 and the brightness level is incomparable.

Yes, they are very close to 6000k. Father has a newer 535 and meh, the output is nice and solid but maybe too bright/dense. I like the OEM halos as they aren't too overbearing and seem like a nice, soft light.

I'm liking the looks of the new LUX v3.... in the photos! I have to see them in person to see if it's worth the change.
