Question Tinting (3M Crystalline) in the Lower Mainland?

I am looking to remove the tint the previous owner had installed on the rear three windows and replace it with either 60 or 70 all around.

I have had issues with glare and night vision ever since a grade III concussion several years ago, I am looking to tint all three rear and both front windows as well as the windshield. I am well aware of the laws and stories regarding ICBC coverage hence the reason I am not looking for anything darker than CR60. My main concern is to be sure due care and attention to detail is provided such as none of the dot matrix being visible.

3M's dealer website seems to be orientated towards US residents and was of no help, any insight on local installers would be much appreciated!

70 is WAYYYY too light.

Go for 45 all around if you're worried about hassles from cops.

Thanks for the reply 3M Crystalline is only available in 40, 50, 60, 70, and 90 grades. Here is a complete list of what I am looking for:

- Heat reduction
- No signal interference
- UV protection
- Won't turn purple
- Reduced glare
- Enhanced night vision
- Zero police hassle

Go for something 35-40, you will not get hassles with 35-40.

Go with a ceramic tint like Formula One Pinnacle.

No quality tint will turn purple.

Really appreciate the input KJ, sounds like you know your stuff I see your M3 is the same colour, I assume you've tinted yours? If so, mind posting some pictures and info on the make/model of tint? Thanks again!

Deep. Talk to my friend Rene, owner at Street Legal Tint and Detail in Central City. 604.584.6483. I'm sure he can get the 3M film you're looking for. Tell him I sent you. I have 50/35 (non-ceramic). 50 or 60 will look good all around. 40 may cause you some trouble with the RCMP.
