$650, huh. Cost is about $50, including the guarantee. I sell that stuff at my dealer, it's the most profitable aftermarket option. You say $10/month ain't bad, it is if it's for more than one year, I assume you took a 72 month loan (also a bad move). It's all smoke and mirrors.

They're all the same. They help a little, the profit margin for dealers is very large, that's why they push it. I understand you don't want to here you got ripped off. In the end everything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So if you're ok with your payment, it doesn't really matter.

My dealership also offer it, and I saw the invoice $50 for the Cilajet. It my experience, it does offer better slickness than a sealant...but I dunno about the durability since Im not a detailer at the dealership.

Im happy to pay for peace of mind of a guarentee and if it doesnt last I claim my guarentee!
I build a kitcar called GTG500 no guarentee but goes 0-100 in 3secs for only $20000! Would you buy it? Its got 4 wheels and seats engine and breaks! Its faster than the M3 and cheaper.... So Is that a better buy than the "upselling" M3? I dont think so : thanx Im happy to pay for Cilajet

Hey, what is your impression with Cilajet now that it's been some time since your M3 was treated? I'm in the same boat...taking delivery of my M3 in a few weeks and want to know if the protection is worth the money (also a PCS customer in Germany).

Old thread brought back to life. Just want to give update on cilajet. Had it applied 4yrs ago. Car still beads, never waxed and washes easy. It still looks brand new after just normal wash. Good stuff. $650 I paid for 4yrs ago? Am fine with that.

That said, I have a month old 2014 range rover sport that dealer applied Zurich shield on and charged me for it. Useless crappy product or moron applied it at dealer. I don't know. They refused to sell any car without it only because the RRS was in such high demand I'd have to wait 4months for one. Even worse I went shopping at competitor dealer and they were total dicks. They wouldn't even let me test drive or seat in any of them. They snotty fools probably thought I couldn't afford the 100K plus car but that's ok. Other than ripping me off with aping and interior protection I neither asked for nor wanted to the tune of $1200, they treated me very very well. So I made a deal with the devil bought the truck.

Would I apply cilajet on this SUV? Yes. I have been hearing raves about opti coat pro, so am going to get it done. But am torn about the price quoted. $885 for whole car, plastic rocker trim windshield and wheels all included. I asked for a discount or maybe I'll skip the wheels and windshield. Let's see..

CQuartz Finest

I had CQuartz Finest applied in May. Results are unbelievably good. Missing in this thread is mention of the best feature of coatings- besides the incredible shine, the surface is so tough against swirls it's unbelievable. With Jet Black every little tiny swirl or scratch was visible when using traditional waxes. Now, swirls are not a factor, period. To me that's huge. Worth the cost of install.
