Exclamation Body Work Estimate Reasonable?

Hi all,

I recently had some damage to my body and mechanical due to a curb. Ive had it towed to BMW dealership where the mechanical aspect of it is getting fixed. They had the body shop guys take a look at it and they are quoting $2100 initially but I had them reduce there labour so now im looking at $1950 taxes in.

The image below is my estimate outline the parts and what will be done.
Please let me know if this is reasonable or if there are any body shops in the Toronto area that can do this more reasonably.
Thanks

The price is about right for a BMW certified body shop (more expensive) because the repair involves both bumper and fender.

If its just a fender and bumper you need, then its pretty expensive. But it looks like they are including frame work. Cost sound like a little above average, but not outrageous. If you're going thru insurance, I suppose it won't matter much!

We need pics, especially when they state that the fender and bumper can be reused but need to be repainted.

But the estimate looks good for a BMW Authorized workshop.

We definitely need the pics .......

I'd like to see the bumper & fender damage that they're saying can be reused but, repainted. I realize cost is coming from your pocket but, on the other hand you don't want to have anyone halfass the repair job, right?

Go to the dealer and snap some pics bro!

okay i will post pictures soon. Just picked it up from the dealer and all is okay with the mechanical aspect now but shelled out some good money for that. As for the body, the bumper and the fender looks like it needs some work but not too bad though. And my left rear rim is curbed. I post pictures soon.

I recently had the left rear qtr and rim repaired due to some idiot who scratched things up pulling into a parking spot next to me. They pulled the panel and refinished it and the wheel. The original estimate was $1,100 and the final was $900, this was at a BMW certified shop. So it seems reasonable since your damage is more extensive. They did a great job on mine cannot see a difference from brand new.

dang...just saw this thread...if you could have posted in the canada sub-forums, local's woulda been able to have seen it earlier and given you some advice.

since its already done, no point in referring other potential body shops. the dealer's rarely do the work themselves so they always outsource it. going directly to one of these shops would have saved you some additional $$.

if you could post some pics, im sure we could give you some places where you can take your car to be looked at. thanks!
