Photos from Sebring (including three wheel motion)

Here's some pictures taken by Colour Tech South of my '08 E90 at Sebring during PBOC's Winterfest.

The car felt incredibly dialed-in (increased front neg camber to 2.7° and decreased toe-out to 1/32" total toe-in) and drove over 350 miles on track that weekend.

Awsome shots

Love those 3 wheel pictures, powering out of corners. I have not seen many E9Xs doing this .

It is also what I've observed, the E9X M3 seems very happy with -2.7 / -2.8 front camber .

Nice shots. The stance is very aggressive looking. The car looks mean.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! The wheel lifts really surprised me too as I've never seen E9X lifting wheels. Granted, Sebring is quite bumpy especially T17b where those pictures are taken.

I'm running the Ground Control sleeve kit and the dampers are usually set to Normal around Sebring. Sometimes I'll demo the differences in EDC and M mode for passengers but I usually have DSC OFF/Servo Sport/Throttle Sport/EDC Normal.

When you see the passenger with the colorful helmet, it's from this video:

Look at some of those close walls. That always scares me.

i agree very nice seeing 1 wheel up. can you comment further on that amount of negative camber. right now i have -2.5 front and -1.9 rear and need more particullarly in the front. was thinking of around -3 front and 2.2 rear?

My current set-up is -2.7 front and -1.8 rear.

I used to run -2.5 front and -2.0 rear. With that set up I was still eating the outside edges of my Nitto NT01s. This was confirmed with tire temperatures readings, the outside of the front tires were running a little hotter. In the rear, it is the inside temperature that were a little hotter at -2.0 camber.

With my new settings, I am seeing nice even temperature across the tire thread both front and rear. The fronts are now wearing nice and even .

However, -2.7 is starting to get a bit aggressive for the street. I am starting to wear the inside of my street tires... I guess I will have to live with this compromise .

It is important to note that optimal camber settings will vary depending on the type/brand of tire, tire size, suspension (height, stiffness), etc... I can only share what I have experienced with my setup

thanks that helps. i got some data the last few times out and also run nt01s. was told my rear was close to right so may leave it right around 2 and bump up the fronts just unsure how far to go. like i said was thinking 3 but maybe that is too much.

Absolutely love these pics. Looks great. Can I assume the E90 has a relatively stiff chassis to allow inside wheel lift?
