Modded M3 DCT Track/Vbox Results

Headed over to Englishtown last night with a FBO 335, tuned C63, and Corvette Grand Sport. Me and the 335 only got 2 runs in because of a spill, first run I ran a 12.069 and the second ran a 12.007. The DCT tranny was giving me a hard time warming the tires up (cut power after initial spin), and would only let LC launch at 3500RPM (way too low, usually have it set at 5500 for a hard launch) - I was only cutting 60 foots of 1.9-2.0 with my DR, so there is room for improvement. Here's the slip for the best run of the night (with a lower 60ft 11.8 is 100% within reach)...I'm in right lane:

Heres my first run of the night against my buddies 335 (it holds the record for fastest non-nitrous 60-130 N54):

335 6MT: Full bolt on's, W/M Injection, race gas, 17psi race map, passenger/rear seat removal, hoosier slicks...holds record for fastest stock turbo non-nitrous 60-130 (8.84 seconds) @ full weight on street trim, 121mph traps on vbox
Camera Car: M3 DCT, Gintani Catless exhaust, MS pulleys, MS stage II intake, OETuning Dynotune, rpi scoops, 100 octaneracegas, MT1 rear wheels with Nitto NT555R DR, full weight

M3 DCT runs 12.007@116.15
335i runs 12.397@113.84
M3 DCT reaction time 1.255
335i reaction time .063
335 bogged 3-4 shift

Did another run at the track after they closed down the 1/4 mile timer due to the spill...and ran a 11.9@117.9 (3.7s from 0-60) on vbox, heres the stats of that run, as well as 2 other 1/4 mile tests I did that night with traps of 117-119:

Quick pic of the track set-up:

You're 60-130mph is 11.1? didn't no how a 2-3mph difference can make if the 335i is doing it in 8.6xx

this is what was confusing all of us....on the way back all 3 of us lined up (335, m3, tuned c63) and we got the eurocharged c63 by ~2 cars.....also, i would pull on the 335 if we ran from a certain speed, and he would get me if we ran from another.....i think i needed to recalibrate the vbox or something because im not sure why the 60-130's are slower than they should be

Hey I'm curious as to why your shift lights didn't go off after 2nd gear?

So in launch control it shifts for you even in manual mode? Cool I learned something new about this car.

Nicely done, if you could heat those DR's up and and get a slightly better 60' you are in the 11's no doubt, cooler weather will do it as well. Good stuff!

I think your 60-130 is a tad slow because you're lifting early. Your Vmax is 130.8 on one run and 130.3 on the other. Either you have superman reflexes, or you're lifting early.

I know you don't have superman reflexes cause I saw your slip... j/k

May only make a tenth or two difference, easy enough to find out...

yeah i think you may be right...I also noticed that the speedometer usually overstates your speed the [VBOX speed (gps real speed) is usually lower]

ps: i didnt bother going for a reaction time on the first run of the day just me against the clock haha

will try again...im anticipating a low 10sec run
