The motor is $20K, but if you add in the suspension, wheels, etc. plan on a lot more. I want the motor

To include everything mentioned in the video the price for Dinan parts NOT including shipping/handling, install or various parts/pieces it would come to a grand total of...

Gotcha. I guess if they want to sell it they should list the packages instead of how I came to the other total.

i love the m3, but the whole point of it is that it's a "reasonable" performance car, and this package pretty much pretty much defeats that purpose imo, an m3 + all those mods is pushing 100k, which is completely different territory gtr, gt3, etc.

I like the car but I just can't get over how overpriced it is. There is not enough of a performance increase to justify that price tag.

Agreed, it's definitely nice but I can't see spending that much money for that little difference in performance. I can understand why some people would it's just not how I'd spend my money. If I had $100k+ for a car I wouldn't be buying a M3.

agreed but i wouldn't say little difference in performance. stock is 414hp and that had 527hp that is over 100hp for a non SC, not as much as a SC but i wouldn't say little. for people who want to stay NA that is really the only option there full blown cars have never been cheap and never been for everyone as it caters to people with different wants and needs, just depends what someone wants agreed though for the total price i can look at a different league of cars

I don't feel the price of the actual engine is that bad. I completely agree that to add it to the price of the M3 is making a crazy expensive car but the engine itself is another matter.
I was in my dealership 2 weeks ago and they were replacing a blown 335 engine (some oil issue had killed it) and it was costing $35k. I'd pay 22k for the Dinan one before I'd pay 35k for a 335 engine. They mention sending back your old core to get the full refund. Is that included in the 22k or do you get more money back when you return your old core? |

the accuracy is bad if you are measuring at the wheels and trying to work out crank figures as it's just making guesses at drive train losses etc. but accuracy off the engine will be good (assuming a decent dyno) and it's the way manufacturers get their figures.
