We have a good amount of snow accumulation in PDX (6" at home now), where a dusting results in chaos, I don't know if I'm going to get to the garage to get this work done this weekend

Awesome product. Best mod you can do to your car. I'm relieved it feels
more like my E30/M3 clutch. Originally I was quite disappointed in the way
the car shifted, the UCP changed that!

Still checking this thread regularly in hopes of seeing installed pics or a thorough review.

Also curious what this install will do to my remaining factory warranty, as well as CPO warranty.

I picked mine up from FedEx this afternoon and will install this weekend - looks like a very well made product.

Installed the pedal this morning. Installation was farely easy and straight forward. It didn't take much time to get used to the feel of the new pedal. You feel immediate improvement. Much more solid and precise feel when depressing the clutch, smoother and shorter shifts. It's a very well made product.

I opted to leave the spring out. Will have to test out how it feels with the spring one of these days.

You can see in the pics just how much lower the new pedal sits now.

Got this installed Saturday afternoon. Quality product - I like it.

I used the mounting hole furthest from the arm and removed the outer over center spring.

The new pedal has a shorter throw (by ~20%) and changes the engagement point from ~80% of all the way out to ~60%.

Shifting is a much quicker affair now - heel toe shifting seems more subconscious now - looking forward to trying it out on the track. I really like the feel of the pedal. I did notice that I had to make sure the pedal was almost fully depressed before disengaging a gear.

A couple of install notes:

1. Follow the safety glass warnings in the instructions - parts will be flying around.
2. Be careful when installing the bolt that holds the over center spring in place - make sure the bolt is completely inserted before tightening nut - mine was a little off and I damaged the nut side of the second adjustment point. (jv)
3. Getting the over center spring mounted in the new pedal was the toughest part of the install for me - I would be curious if BMW had a special tool for aiding in this installation. The outer over center spring is very strong.
4. The included instructions are accurate.
5. If I were to do this again I would probably remove the front seat, so I could lie flat on my back to do the install or just have more room.

I will give this a couple weeks and then try some of the other settings - I would be curious to try the mounting hole closest to the arm - I think this will add more spring assist in depressing the pedal yielding a lighter pedal feel.

If someone has the proper measurement tool(s) - the following information would be interesting and helpful to know how to set the pedal:

1. Travel of stock pedal and engagement point
2. Travel of UCP and engagement point
3. Force required to fully depress pedal with upper light weight spring installed and both over center springs installed in each hole
4. Force required to fully depress pedal with upper light weight spring installed and just inner over center spring installed in each hole
5. Force required to fully depress pedal with upper light weight spring installed and just outer over center spring installed in each hole
6. Force required to fully depress pedal with upper light weight spring installed and no over center springs installed in each hole
7. Same measurements with upper light weight spring removed

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm really excited to learn more about how this pedal performs for you guys. If anybody takes it upon themselves to do all the measurements suggested that would be an awesome write up. Enjoy!

I so badly want this pedal. I just don't want to mess with my warranty which has another year on it and then CPO for 2 after that.

Anyone have any experience dealing with BMW on warranty issues related to aftermarket pedals?

Ralph, What are the chances that someone local could have this installed by you?

Thanks!

UCP M3 - Achilles Radial

Check out the Achilles Radial E90 M3 complete with Ultimate Clutch Pedal!

We took the E90 M3 and 135i race cars to COTA this past weekend for the Texas Trifecta School and Race weekend. It was a blast! The E90 placed 3rd overall in the enduro with a fast lap of 2:23.1.

Both cars were equipped with the Ultimate Clutch Pedal - which continue to perform perfect in race conditions.
