What do you use to clean and condition your leather interiors?

Leatherique rejuvenator oil and Leatherique prestine clean are the best leather products i have used for my car. Thanks again for all help!

Also you can use vinylex on the dash and plastic bits.

If your seats are newer and do not require reconditioning I prefer the newer nano products. Once sealed, spilled water literally pools and sits. Requires proper prep, leaves a matte finish no shine or oil sheen. When you wipe down going forward you are cleaning the coating not rubbing the leather.

Leather Masters works for me.

Lexol was good like 30 years ago when leather was not coated. On modern coated leather like in most modern cars, it makes the surface look and feel oily and doesn't work well to protect the leather.

Leather masters and leatherique are great for deep cleaning but for maintenance cleaning get something like sonax leather foam cleaner

I don't think you're doing it right. Also I think leather has been coated for more than 30 years, but I'm no expert.

After cleaning, you apply the conditioner and then buff it off. Preferably let it sit for awhile in a hot car before buffing the leather again.

My leather doesn't look or feel oily. However it does not feel dry. Looks great.

I use Chemical Guys. Wouldn't mind switching to Auto Finesse though, their stuff is great.

Coated leather doesn't need to be moisturized/conditioned.. it is coated with polyurethane! Interior leather doesn't need to be moisturized just as your paint doesn't need to be moisturized. You just clean it and apply a protectant. If the leather feels slick, it is because the stuff is just on the surface of the leather not doing anything. Well cared for coated leather should be dry to the touch and feel dry and smooth.

Lexol's conditioner is designed for uncoated leather like in home furniture and horse saddles - not cars.

The only decent lexol product I've ever used is the pH neutral cleaner, the other conditioning stuff is grotesque.

The article you posted states re semi-aniline leather:

"It's also less costly to maintain if treated as prescribed. However, if left untreated, the finish coating can become hazy and brittle so it does require occasional maintenance to maintain pristine condition."

All I know is that I condition the leather in my cars and it keeps them nice. It doesn't make the leather "moist" but it keeps the leather soft and prevents it from becoming overly dry and brittle.

You do need to take care of it but you need to use the right products. Lexol's conditioner is not designed for modern coated leather. It is designed for uncoated leather.
