Anyone else get an invite to Summit Point from Audi?

So, I got a letter in the mail from Audi yesterday inviting me to Summit Point on 4/6-7 to test drive their RS and S line of cars. It said they would have various road courses set up and the event would last 3-4 hours. The letter indicated they'd have it all there....R8, RS5, etc.

I figured they were probably targeting those that they knew owned M and AMG models. Not really interested in buying anything from their lineup, but I'm going to head up there and have some fun. Anyone else get the invite?

i've gone to plenty of Audi/Porsche/Benz/BMW events at Summit. Can't beat a free driving event

I'll be at the Audi event if I can fit into my schedule. I went to their event a few years ago when they released the S5 and it was a bunch of fun. They obviously don't let you do too much, but definitely good spirited drives

Nope, but I did a Cadillac event a few months ago and it was awesome! Register early to make sure you get a spot - those events are usually a blast.

I received an invitation. Checked the Summit Point calendar - Audi not showing... but there are known groups on Jefferson and Main those dates. So this is either Shenandoah (pretty twisty for demo drives IMO... unless they halve the track) or cones on the autocross circuit.

I got it for the r8 and s5/rs5. Since I have driven both the s5/rs5 I rsvped for the r8. However I am on the wait list. The event filled up within 3 hours before I even opened the invitation.

I had to call my old dealer in PA to put me on the local M Power tour....

yeah do tell. By the time i got my invitation in the mail the sessions were full. So the way i see it, I was on the wait list to begin with. lol

Just moved my spot from 10:30 to 8. Will anyone else be there at 8? If anyone else wants to go, there must've at least 1 opening at 10:30 now.

i will be there on friday driving the r8. i opted out of the 6/7th as i have driven all of those series. Yeah, finally I got the call on friday and they told me they had spot for me open. I am there friday at 8am. :-) R8, really excited to drive this car.

is the R8 only available on Friday??

yeah the r8 is for friday and the rest of the line for sat/sun. I got both but i have driven most of the S lines except for r8. Which I wanted to drive anyways. So the opportunty was perfect to test it out at Summit. Now the part it sucks is I chose time of 8am. I should have chosen 1015 instead. Gonna have to get up at 5:30 and leave by 6am. :-( I am not a morning person at all.

They just called me and confirmed 2:45 on Fri. There is a midday slot available so you might want to call and see if they will move the time. Either way, should be fun
