This is great looking entry level BMW. I would consider this if looking for a small sedan I think this would sell a lot of units in the US. Bring it over

Why would we even need a 2er GC if we get this? They're like the same car. Frankly this car looks much better and has a coupe-esque body style. Can't see a 2er GC being much different...

Unfortunately, yes. I hope by the time this becomes a reality most, if not all models will be an awd edrive set up. It only makes sense.

Also whatever happened with the concept active tourer circa 2012-13 ? This has much of the same design language.

I was at his show last year and was amazed at all the rip off designs blatantly stolen from others. Complete copies of cars with a different badge on them. Was pretty disgusted.

The compact sedan is just such a great package overall, i mean - i struggle to find any weak spots, as i usually do with most BMW nowadays.
The premium compact segment are growing alot, and it's what EU needs atm imo, BMW should release this car FAST.
If they don't jump wagon now, there will be several years down the road, waiting for the sequal of the excisting F2* model.
As for FWD, it's not ideal by any means, but with the proper X-drive (not the Haldex rip off) things should be all good imo.

I would buy one of these with an xDrive transmission. Please make one with an advanced 4 cylinder engine with approx 275-290 hp (similar to what the Golf R produces).

I don't see exhaust pipes. Are they just well hidden or is this electric?

I'll stick to my M235i. The kids are limber enough to climb in and out of the back.

U.S. needs this sedan

As an owner of an E30, E36, E46, E90 and now an F30, I can say that it is time for BMW to bring a smaller sedan back to our market. The growth in size helped while I had children, but as an empty nester I am aching for smaller vehicle like the 2 series with 4 doors. I think the look and proportions of this car are excellent as well. Better than the 2 Series IMHO. Unfortunately I doubt awd and manual will be in the cards, but a guy can hope.

Not sure if it's been stated, but this is likely a FWD vehicle as well. Even if AWD were to be available it would likely have a FWD bias.

Absolutely agreed. Our F30 is too big, even with a kid. Would love something E46 size.

This is gorgeous! I don't understand the comparisons to some Japanese and Korean models. Better looking than any 1er or 2er. FWD is a bummer, but I doubt they would make an xdrive variant front-drive biased.
