Clear bra- Houston
Hi folks, I've looked around and have found one or two places in Houston that installs these. It's around 500-550 before taxes. I don't mind paying for quality service, do you guys have any other recs?

Give Steve at Invisishield a call. He's the most experienced installer in Houston.

It all epends on the condition of your paint. I waited after my 2nd track day and regret waiting so long because I picked up quite a few rock chips. The new water-based paints chip very easily. You can always just do the hood and fenders which should be less than 50% of the cost.

Based on several recommendations, I'm taking my E90 in to Invisishield today & will let you know how it goes. I have a couple of "non-kit" issues they will have to deal with so it will be a "semi-custom" install I guess. I have the OE CF splitters on the front and I want them to do the rocker panels as well. It is my understanding neither of these is accomodated by their pre-cut templates.
I'll post the results, both how they deal with the "non-standard requests, and how the overall quality of install turns out. |

Shouldn't have any "non-kit" issues. The entire front of my 1M was hand cut since there was no kit available last June. Later, I noticed a blem on one of the mirror housings and they took care it without questions.
Steve's partner does window tinting too. |

UPDATE - Just left Invisishield's shop (at Driver's Source on Memorial). They did a beautiful job, no issues with the cutouts for the splitters and they did a custom cut for the area behind the rear fender wells, as well as a partial covering for the front section of the rocker panels where rock chips from the front wheels would happen. I'm a happy customer and let's just say I'm pretty much an anal retentive perfectionist. Three techs were there working on my car and they were done about 1 1/2 hours after I arrived
They made a big point of saying that if ANYTHING didn't look right, to bring it back immediately and they would take care of it. Recommended. |

Do you have any pics after the clear bra installation? They call it CLEAR bra, so what do you think pictures would show? whats77inaname Quote: Originally Posted by 540gone UPDATE - Just left Invisishield's shop (at Driver's Source on Memorial). I went to Xpert Tint 2 years ago and got it installed by a guy named Josway (pronounced like Jose but with way at the end) he was VERY meticulous during the install and it came out great. This shop also does the computer cutouts.
I paid approx $700 all-in for the following: Entire Front bumper Headlights Fog lights 18" up the hood 18" up the side fenders Side mirrors Its not really about the shop but the person doing the install, thats why i recommend him. He works at multiple shops. |

I just watched Terry Allen of Bear Dealer Services do a fantastic 3M bra replacement on a new 335i. Terry did a perfect job! He cautions that he's about two weeks backlogged currently, but that's because of the great job he does. www.beardealerservices.com
