Hmmmm, I'd make sure they gave you the right software for MT and not DCT???

Stock files are the same between 6MT and DCT.

Files aren't different as they were for E46 M3.

Edit: After helping OP remotely, it appears that the file provided to him is not the correct software variant for a US spec car.

Engine malfunction errors should always have corresponding faults. In this case the OP does not, so that means that those faults were removed from the ECU to prevent the car from triggering the light.

Thanks Mike for taking a look at my car.

At this point I'd like to ask if there is any G-Power rep that can help me? Its quite disappointing that G-Power sells the most expensive supercharger on the market and can not provide the customer service to allow their superchargers to function properly. G-Power has not been able to update my car to the latest BMW SW nor send me the correct tune file for my car to operate without error.

Op's problems are because he bought the kit second hand. All you ESS fanboys should relax. Good luck op!!

If he bought the kit new from g power there'd be no issues

I think all their main engineers are on winter break and they have a novice who doesn't know what he's doing. It shouldn't matter if you bought a kit used or new. If it requires a tune and you PAY them for it ($850), they should at least give you something that works. If I was asking for their help assistance and not paying anything for it I could see where the customer service would be slacking.

not really as I stated if the kit was bought new he would be driving the car as it comes w/ the tune. Yes it sucks the support is now lacking due to Holiday but that's the price you pay. It is what it is

I had an opportunity to buy Gpower 570kit and ESS 575 for the same price, I chose ess for this reason and the fact that install is easy. Although I have to give to Gpower in the looks department, it looks and sounds amazing (you get a lot of intake sounds).
I have also driven a car with that set up, it's pretty similar to mine, but it's redline is at 8100 rpm. Also, we then did a pull, and my car is just a tad faster, but due to redline difference, I was able to gain half a car length in each gear. Also, exhaust systems are different, mine is just fabspeed hfc and xpipe, the other car had full titanium akrapovich set up. oh, and mine is 4dr vs his was a 2dr, and I had 50k miles, and he had 10k miles. Else is the same (down to color)....

sorry u having trouble with the Gpower, once you get it running, i'm sure it will be just as fun! In looks and sound department, it is a winner!

The tuning is the same process whether it is a new kit or not. You email your file and they send you back a tune fit for the car or send them your DME. Its not a file that comes on a disc with the car. I basically just need an email from them With the correct tune. You must have communication with G-Power which is at least 6 hours ahead of the east coast. Mike Benvo actually remotely connected to my car and found out that the guy they have working at this time sent me a tune that is not the correct spec. Another problem with Gpower is that no US dealer has the ability to modify your car file to tune your car. You basically get 1 email response per day whether its what you need or not.

I feel for ya; must feel hopeless trying to deal with another country altogether but I'm sure you'll get it sorted. Are there no BMW tuners in the area that can put it on a dyno or road tune it?

I don't know of any local tuners that have the ability to. I've been calling around and everyone seems to not know what i'm talking about. I'm still considering on getting a cable from Mike and having him tune it for me. It seems that the cable from Gpower is locked to my VIN and it has some encryption decryption ability that only Gpower's tune will work.

It looks like another weekend without a car again...
