Dinan Racing Middle Exhaust

Has anyone installed them? If so, how would describe the sound and volume? Thanks

would that be making the car extremely loud? i am going for the dinan exhaust because it doesnt really make crazy loud noise and especially no drone inside the car.

It will be louder of course than the stock mid-pipe, but the two resonators should tone it down quite a bit.

It will be interesting to see if Dinan rectify the torque dip around 2500RPM seen with other full systems that have low back pressure....

Dinan opted to go with 4 resonators on the M3 mid-pipe (instead of 2), because of how loud this mod made the entire exhaust system.

I talked to the Dinan Engineer who designed it, and he told me there were quite a few pre-production prototypes built that were eventually rejected. (including the no-resonator and 2 resonator versions)

Chris at Dinan says there's no drown at any RPM in the car, and that the only time you really hear it roar is when you open up the throttle.

I trully wish we could hear it on a car before making this kind of financial commitment. I drive a 430 part part time, and as loud as the car is, I love every second of it. It only gets loud when you stick your foot in it due to the valve technology they use.

The M3 is going to be driven more offen, and I have no problem with it sounding tough, I just will be disappointed if it's loud and drowny all the time. Even my M6 has a great sounding exhaust when you put you foot in it, but no drown.

Sorry, I tend to think in pairs when it comes to the M3 exhaust, I meant 2 pairs of resonators...
