IND M3 CRT Lip Installation Pictures

We had the opportunity to install this IND carbon fiber CRT lip on aajami's M3 on Friday. Here are the pictures:

The lip features a 2x2 carbon weave and a unique satin finish.

This lip requires the removal and some slight modification of the front bumper in order to install the mounting brackets, which bolt to the OEM oil cooler. Additionally, double sided tape and 5 self-tapping screws provide a very secure installation.

The end result:

Looks in-completed front end for some reason. Weight saving?

The OEM CRT front lip just comes like that, doesn't extend to the sides. I'm really curious if the Performance front splitters could fit in to the sides, that might be a neat look.

Seems like people will spend exorbitant amounts of money on special edition parts regardless of how they look.

A little dicey to install this lip when the underside of the front bumper is already full of scratches. That thing will be destroyed in no time!

I doubt it. Its so high up in the bumper that nothing will touch it.

It looks like a nice subtle touch and a lot of ground clearance. The price is just way too much though. OEM or not, its just too much.

I really like the subtle look of this lip. Pics 8 & 9 reveal the need for extra caution, same goes for most lips.

From the looks of the photos it shouldnt be a problem.

The quality really is amazing .... I have seen 100s of lips in all the years I have been modifying cars and the quality of that piece is simply amazing.

Did you see the picture of the underside of the bumper? This sits lower and protrudes outward. If he was rubbing the bumper without the lip, he is going to have problems. There are certainly lips that sit lower than this one but the car is already taking hits on the OEM bumper...
