I recently went this route and found it a bit too quiet. TMS test pipes and Corsa 14568. I also have weird low RPM drone from 1000 - 1500.

If I am looking to keep the same refined tone but want it louder, should I take out the secondaries?

I agree on the random drone at 1-1500rpm. I also have that.

Volume is perfect for my liking. Possibly an x pipe with HFC for more volume, or certainly removal of the resonators or secondaries.

I really want this exhaust... Damn.
Too bad Corsa wants so much money for it.

We need to go Yamaha (a la LFA) on this car and acoustically engineer some more engine and exhaust sound into the cabin (real sound not electronic emulation of course).

It's true. My previous e90 m3 had it, but my current does not. Apparently you need the cold weather package to get folding rear seats... stupid...

Those with the cold weather package will know that in the manual it says in Deutsch that the reason you can fold down the seats is so you can build a bonfire in the back for the cold winter months and have it heat up the front. There are a few tips on how to roast German bratwurst in there. Real tasty. Page 39 I believe.

Sorry you're missing out on the fun.

How would you rate the sound of the Corsa compared to the Akra Evo with the factory x-pipe? Is it Corsa still more exotic sounding?

Yes i would definitely say it is more exotic and high pitched than the akra. Volume is similar between the two with stock X tho.

That sounds REALLY good. I love my MPE but this setup is a great alternative with a little different tone.

OP, quick question - this is purely the OEM x-pipe with test pipes welded on and everything else kept as-is?
