Where do you wash your car in the Bay Area?

Hey guys... did search in the forum but could not find any good car wash thread for the Bay Area.

I used to go to Luxury Detail in San Carlos for my old 330i... for $35 hand wash. They always did a great job.

Where do you guys wash your cars?

Lots of people go to AJ auto detailing in San Jose. I've also tried out 68 Auto Detail in Fremont and been pretty happy

I usually do my own detailing and work on my friend's cars too. I would not trust anyone else to touch my car.

Here's a quarter of my detailing collection for mobile use. After spending over a thousand dollars on detailing stuff, I am set for a while.

AJ in San Jose. Be prepared to wait for 1-2 hrs, sometimes even longer in weekends.
But you'll get to meet a lot of people and talk about cars. Almost like a mini car meet

I hear you, but I live in an apt with a shared garage and no access to water

Used to go AJ and Country Club but got sick of waiting. The place where I got my tint from started their own hand car wash so I go there now. Extreme Tint in Santa Clara. $18 for full outside and inside including vacuum and shit. No wait either which is my biggest reason for leaving the two car washes I mentioned. I go whenever and they take my car right away. It's no AJ but does the job just fine.

For basic washing, Optimum No Rinse works ok if your car is not too dirty. All you need is a bucket and some microfibers.

I hear you, I have access to a hose and driveway in SF so I use that when I wash the car.

I have seen some of the work for the detailing place in Japantown. They do a decent job... seen better but not bad. http://www.magicdetail.com Otherwise check some reviews on Yelp for detailing places in the city.
