Lightbulb Matte craze

I've been thinking about about matte lately.. I'm really worried its getting over done, like black wheels and murdered out rides.. Now, I like matte, i like black wheels on occasion, and all black every now and then as well. but the question remains, will matte be an overplayed 10 and out route? I admit I like it and would try it but man its common now.. I keep seeing matte G35's, matte stang's and matte 335s in this region.. In Houston, it was matte everything instead of matte when it "works". What a great time period for wrap shops though.. they have to be killing it..

Yeah, maybe you are right.. I will give it credit that I have seen some rides and thought, "not bad...", "bold...", " can't believe he wrapped that..." and "yep, that looks good in matte black"..

Do what you like as long as it makes you happy.

That being said, I hate the matte look. IMO it makes every car look cheaper/uglier/unfinished.

Yea dont get me wrong but some do look nice.. with regular white or matte black just not attractive anymore. ive seen other once that are matte but in time they just not attractive i guess the gloss make the car look good.

Stock cars are played out. I see thousands of them on the road every single day. When is this craze of keeping cars stock going to end?

You know it's over when the OEM starts making it an option - ha!

Matte thing is over.

But it is your car so do what makes you happy with it. Great thing about a wrap is if/when you're done with it one can pretty easily remove it.

And you should be able to get a great deal on a wrap though, they prob have rolls of it sitting around.

I think the benefit of wrap is messing around with colors basically, although not a necessarily cheap process, its rather easy to do and undo, so I've thought about it.. For now I'll stick with Space Gray... love the color and graphite shiny..

Matte is getting REALLY played out. As everyone on here knows, I am a very serious driver and serious drivers always have to learn about the latest and greatest cosmetic mods for the obvious associated hp gains.

THIS is going to be the new fad everyone. Get it while you can.
