Megan racing exhaust or OEM exhaust?
I'm looking into getting an exhaust obviously and I can't decide on whether to get a shop to do the OEM.(can't find a reliable one, they say they can't or aren't going to try) I've been looking to another cheap alternative, the Megan racing.
Should I go with the OEM mod or the Megan racing system? What do you guys think? |

I pump-faked originally but I was very happy with the MR exhaust. It amplified the original sound and added a touch of bass. I wanted to leave the stock exhaust alone in the case that I wanted to go back to stock. The MR exhaust was a great bang for the buck IMO.
To make this exhaust sing even nicer I would recommend the Sosi X-Pipe. Once I had it on, the sound is just amazing. Relatively no drone and a nice smooth body and bass. |

I was at the same point regarding what to do with the rear section. I had the Turner Test Pipes with the OEM exhaust and it didn't sound bad, but nothing to right home about. I heard the OEM exhaust mod and to be honest it didn't sound very polished, at certain rpms it sounded pretty good and at other rpms not so good. I got the Megan exhaust and to be honest I am thoroughly impressed with this exhaust for the amount of money spent. Not to mention you save some weight as well. The car sounds very good, maybe not as aggressive as I would want but its at the threshold it could be to loud and be obnoxious without the primary cats. Dave
