Just curios what your using to clean with - towels, sponge or brush? I had a similar appearance to my x5 wheel (granted different leather and finish). It's my wife's DD and she always holds the wheel with one hand at like 7 o'clock. I used leather master strong cleaner with towels and sponge with no avail, but when I used a brush and some elbow grease it returned to near new condition.

Yep, used brush, toothbrush, you name it. You can definitely tell its exposed leather now just by the appearance when wet, the feel, etc. I may try the Leather Master "Top Coat 100" eventually, but I'll just live with it for now. A replacement wheel is more than I want to spend at this time :-/
