I'd probably end up keeping the lock in one of those magnetic boxes you slide under the car or something like that. Sorry to hear, though.

wow that sucks maybe you should do insurance. I had my window repaired at the dealer when it was broken into and it came out to $1200 since the slide for the window actuator was bent and had to order those parts...plus factor in the price of those wheels and tires

Good luck man

You park your M3 out on your driveway overnight? I don't care how good your neighborhood is, I would garage the car, always. But I'm really sorry to hear about it. Hope you get some new rims/tires.

I would get in touch with Police right away. This is prob/def a repeat offence from the same person/people. There might be some evidence they can collect to catch who is responsible. Nothing will prob happen but it's worth a shot.

Also, check the car for body damage. Look especially around the side skirts area for damage caused by the brick.

You keep your wheel locks inside the passenger cabin, and not in the toolkit in the trunk???

Weird.

I expected this to have been posted by the guy who lives next door to me. He has a 2008 jet black e92 M3, almost identical to mine, and apparently his rims and tires we're all stolen off the car while he was away on a trip and the car was parked in underground garage of his apartment complex. I believe he just had the regular 18's. It's not a high crime area or anything either (in fact, quite the opposite).

Sorry to hear that...

But if you guys can elaborate on this...i have a theory....When you park your car, turn your wheel hard to the left/right, so that way when they try to take off your wheels they wont have enough room to fully take it off the hub.

I do this because im on springs and they have NO room at all to maneuver the wheel off the hub. Not sure about stock suspension though...Anyways, good luck and again, sorry to hear.

Im sure theyd probably end up fucking more shit up therefore best thing to do is make it as easy as possible for them lol.

good idea i guess...but the rear wheels don't turn, so they can still get two of 'em!

Breaking a window in front of your freaking driveway? Talk about a bold move. And with access inside your car, they could have just turn the wheels (no steering column lock) and open your trunk to get the lock key, so no way to deter them. That's crazy man. I'd definitely get the insurance involved. First, it'll be a lot more than your deductible, and being under comprehensive, it shouldn't raise your rates. Good luck, and keep us posted.
