Typically whenever you conduct a study that involves human subjects, you'll need to go through IRB review to ensure that patient/subject safety is ensured. Ask your professor. You might want to at least not mention your university's name until you know for sure.

Do you understand the difference between a study and a survey?? Or are you jsut trying to be funny?

I'm not trying to be funny, I'm trying to be helpful. Surveys do become a study/research when it goes beyond a simple poll (especially when you're linking the questions to gender, income, age, etc.).

It may very well qualify for exemption, but this must still be granted by the IRB.
