Autogeek Shipping rip off

I was trying to buy some opticoat this morning and noticed that Autogeek was running a promo of 20% off. So, naturally was going to purchase from them until I reached check out. I applied my 20% off coupon and noticed I was being charged $21 from ground shipping! Normally I wouldn't post something like this but I found this to be infuriating. I HATE paying for shipping. I'd rather vendors just mark up the price of goods then pay for shipping.

To all vendors, USPS has 3 day flat rate! Shipping should never cost more than $15. Stop trying to make money off shipping. So annoyed. This concludes my rant.

That's why I only buy from them when they offer free shipping. But even then it has to be over $100 order which is annoying.

that's not free shipping then! i always get suckered into those with their emails. it's usually free shipping over $150 which is pointless because i will only pickup a few things here and there.

be on the lookout though because here and there they will actually offer real free shipping with no limits. that's normally on major holidays though. overall though i don't like the shipping costs. amazon prime is my best friend

You said it. Just wish we could get someone to catch the Amazon prime vision besides Chemical Guys.

Autogeek has a ton of good stuff but the shipping is crazy unless you're buying over $100 worth of stuff. Usually I'll group an order together with my friends or else i'll suck up the shipping cost if I really need it. I always figure the total cost of the item including shipping because you can't get it anywhere else.

For Chemical Guys, I try to visit their actual store when I'm down in SoCal. Much better selection and no shipping costs. They usually throw in some samples too.

That's why you're better off stocking up on cleaning supplies cuz if you're ocd about washing and detailing your car as I am then it's worth it.

Otherwise, just wait during the holiday for those 20-30% off free shipping no limits

Autogeek is the Walmart of detailing goods. What do you expect? Terrible company with zero innovation. They see what products work with other vendors that stick their neck out in trying something new, then just copy it and start selling it when it catches on. No thanks. Buy from Phil at Detailer's Domain instead. Back in the days you weren't even allowed to discuss products that AG didn't sell. Losers.

I ended up buying it from Phil@detailersdomain. Literally 10 minutes after placing the order I had tracking. Now that's customer service! I just wish it didn't take 5 business days to reach me.

I agree that shipping on Autogeek sucks. But at least they run coupons a lot and they don't charge tax. I figure if I spent at least $50 it all evens out anyway.

The only thing I get from Autogeek is the Griots Garage red pads. 3 of them weigh about an ounce and the shipping is $12. Oh well. At least it's just a mouse click or two then it's on its way.

I just received 2 orders from Autogeek. Luckily they had 20% off and free shipping on $150 or more. So it worked out for me. When I have to order a just a couple of smaller things, I usually order it from Detailed Image. If you order at least $50, they have a coupon code to receive $4.99 shipping. You always have to check out who is running specials and or sales. Also, you could always check out Amazon. From them, it's free shipping if you spend $35.

autogeek is pretty sweet and they have great customer service. however, i only purchase from them when they offer 20% off AND free shipping. this past new years, they had 25% off and free shipping.
if there is a minimum purchase amount, i'll buy a case of sonax wheel cleaner (its about $89) to bump up the price. its worth it because i know i'm going to use it all eventually.
