I am so mesmerized by any pics of this car that I did not even notice that, crazy how sick this car is. Truth be told I'd be pissed if my car was transported by the wheels. I know its a precaution and its not the main point but they should have at least gripped the entire wheel (around the tire).

Lol at you guys. There's nothing wrong with anchoring the car from the wheels if its the only accessible place. It won't do any harm and they make special slings just for this purpose.

but that is not a special sling for the purpose, and the car can still bounce around like crazy as the suspension is not compressed. if you can bounce the car on the springs by pushing down, it is too loose.

the strength in wheels is not in that direction.

Finally made it out to the shop yesterday, and I can, in fact, confirm that the newly replaced orange reflectors look sick on the Dakar Yellow.

No but seriously, I just sat there and drooled a while as I limped back downtown in my stock e92...

No problem with transporting a car that is slung the car by the wheels like that. You don't need to yank the thing down and compress the suspension either the slings just keep it from moving left, right, forward and reverse.

When I had my Euro E36 shipped from Toronto to Edmonton the Shipping company strapped my car exactly like that........ They are the only shipping company that moves Ferarri's in Canada and I am sure they secure them that way too....... they have etrack on the side walls of their enclosed trailers that they secure the cars to so they use the wheels like that so that they can load various sizes of vehicles into the trailers. The name of the company is TFX international if you are interested in looking them up http://www.tfxinternational.com.

Car looks bad ass though. Interested to see what you do with it.

I really respect that.

It's not just about the end product but also the process. I really enjoy following all of your builds and the excitement and enthusiasm generated from the build would never be replicated by simply purchasing any car off the shelf. Your cars have all been very unique and all expressions of your taste. Keep it up.
