Do you have EDC? If so the Ground Control coilover conversion kit is great value for what you get. Gives you drop and camber adjustment.

So a good looking vehicle can't go fast as well? You can do both simultaneously.

I don't think that's what he meant... by "go or pose" I interpreted that to mean performance vs aesthetics (like posing for a picture).

In the case with my 323i, being that it came from the factory as a "slow car", I actually focused on aesthetics first because I knew at the time that any performance mods with the exception of forced induction, would not yield much performance improvement. But years after I bought my car, once I got the aesthetics to exactly where I wanted it then I splurged on the ESS Twin Screw Supercharger and Brembo BBK, along with a 5spd manual tranny conversion.

Generally, I've heard pose used as a derogatory term meaning "pretend" so that's where my comment came from.

They were never upgraded to LEDs like what you have on your 335is.

Yellow piaa bulbs in mine. Jdm look! Lol

The tiny exterior mods everyone is talking about is cheap. But if you really are looking to drive your car fast on a track i would get track wheels/tires, brake pads and a proper seat as the first mods.

I agree that, if the OP hasn't already considered it, the driver mod is a good option. The BMW Driving School, though, is definitely not the "best mod for money." I've heard great things about the school, but it will cost you a left nut and a portion of your right. If you want bang for your buck, HPDEs through NASA, SCCA, BMW CCA, or any other reputable organizations are extremely educational, fun, safe.....and usually come at a 150-250 dollar a day price tag.

High performance driving and/or motorsports aren't for everyone though; we really need to know more about what the OP wants to do with his car. Does he want it to look better, go faster in a straight line, corner better, etc?

first thing you need to do with a new e92 is go out and pick up some poutine. dont forget some cleaner in case you stain your seats.

Personally I wouldn't touch the motor. It's perfect and bomb proof

Going FI you are just asking for problems and a much lower resale when that time comes. Read the threads on blown motors in the FI section if you need convincing

17" wheels/ 50 series tires for comfort; lower redline to 6,000 RPM to get better MPG; put in random dents and keep it dirty so the Obama 99% out there leave you alone.

I was planning on doing that when I get mine in 2 weeks. I'm sure the drive is worth it for hot French Canadian poutine.

Not saying you should not modify, its fun as hell. Go for it. However, make sure you know what your getting into before you start. Modifying is like sex with a whore, or drugs....its fun, exciting, but you may be getting yourself into something that you wish you hadn't...LOL

Modified the crap out of my old Vette, Supercharger, headers, meth, boost a pump etc etc.....700 + HP....Was cool getting to that point - learned allot.

Ultimately what I mainly learned however, was this:
High maintenance...this means more work for you...you need to constantly be on top of your modifications.
When you modify you will never get back what you spent. Kiss your $$ goodbye.
You will have a hard time selling it. Buyers do not want to buy modified cars.
Forget trading it in, they will rob you blind. Resale value has just dropped lower than a normal non modified car....
State inspections ....another problem in some cases.

Exception to the above:
You plan to keep the car forever.
You have tons of extra time to work on your car.
You got $$$$ you don't care about losing.

One last word of advice from someone who modified too much....
Make sure that you don't overdue it...I had 700 HP, in the end I did not use it as much as expected, the exhaust note was too loud after awhile got annoying, I hated all the extra maintenance after awhile...oil change on supercharger, checking meth, getting meth etc etc....
