Can we run 255/35/19 F & 275/35/19 R on stock 19 inch wheels with no problems?

Need new tires here and wanted to go up a size. Is that combo above possible on the stock wheels? I was going to buy PS2's.

When I ran 255/35/19 INVO's it rubbed on full lock, but I was lowered on H&R's.

Now I'm on Eibach, and would like to run 255/35/19 again, think the rubbing had to do with me being so low in the front or does that have nothing to do with it?

I run those sizes with PS2s and have no issues. They are mounted on RACs wheels, which are wider and have a more aggressive offset them OEM. Im on stock suspension right now.

i'm running a winter blizzak setup that's 255/275 on eibach springs with 12/5 mm spacers and it DOES rub on full lock. i used to be able to run 15/12 mm spacers on stock suspension and i loved the aggressive stance soooo much! although i also like the lower stance with the eibachs, i'm kinda turned-off a bit by the tucked-in wheels... oh well... hope it will look better with my summer 20" volk g2 setup

Why would you buy wider than OEM rubber for the winter? If I was buying winter tires for my car, I'd buy aftermarket four 18x8.5" and put 245/40/18 rubber on them. I'm sure the weather is worse where I live but still.

Hi Stalker, when you went 1 size up on the OEM 19"s... what did that do to the following?

1) Turn in (sharper, no diff, worse?)
2) understeer/oversteer - any difference?
3) Cars balance - what did you notice?
4) any difference in accelleration or torque feel? (prob not)
5) Braking?
6) Wet driving?

The 255's and 275's should be no problem with stock suspension. They fit correctly on the wheels. Ride should not suffer, as you have a slightly larger air chamber with the bigger tire, and the tires still fit correctly on the stock wheels. Things like ride and handling may change with the type of tire you select.

There is a slight tradeoff in hydroplaning resistance when running a wider tire, and you may find that the steering feels a tad heavier, although 1cm difference in width is not a whole lot.

I ran 255/35-19's front there was no rubbing then I put 15mm spacers,got rubbing at full lock.

Replaced the 255/35-19's with 255/30-19's there was no rubbing even with the 15mm spacers.

I Lowered the car with H&R springs (race) and still have the spacers(15mm) and the AD08's 255/30-19 no rubbing even at full lock.

Rear

275/30-19's no problem

I ran 275/35 rear and 255/35 fronts with no issues. My first set-up was OEM 19's with Eibach springs and 18 front/15 rear spacers. My current set-up is VMR 19's with Eibach springs....front and back offsets are +11. No rubbing with either set-up

That's odd because I got rubbing when I ran 255/35-19 on OEM 19's in the front with 15mm spacers/stock springs.

Maybe my car is different...

I had 18mm spacers up front...no issues. The Eibach springs may have made a difference as well, or perhaps the type of tire. I'm running Ventus V12's.

Front tire - 255/35/19
Rear tire - 275/35/19

That is the same total diameter as the OEM tires--35-series. So they are not taller than any picture you would see with the stock 19 setup.

Stock is 265/35. 275/35 is 7mm taller (total: 3.5mm per sidewall) than stock.
