Why a harness bar? I can see a 1/2 or full cage but why a harness bar? Not trying to be adversarial; really want to know the logic. Maybe you are meaning a 1/2 cage when you say harness bar...?

The OEM seat belts don't work right when you change the way they sit on your body. the angles are different. a harness bar allows you to use the right kind belts your seats were designed for.

I see what you are saying but therein lies the debate. A harness bar provides anchor points for harnesses without any additional roll protection. A properly designed 1/2 cage or full cage provides roll-over protection to go along with the harnesses which lock you into place.

Schroth quick fit pro's do not require a harness bar and are designed for compatibility with the OEM seat belt mounting points, take advantage of the seat belt pre-tensioner and according to Schroth are "integrated into the factory safety system". My opinion is that it would be better to use the quick fit pros without a harness bar than a general use harness (not specifically designed for the car) with a harness bar. The next logical step would be to go to a 1/2 cage with 6 point harnesses. In other words If I were making recommendations, I would recommend a 1/2 cage and 6 points or Schroth quick fit pros for someone who is unwilling to install a 1/2 cage.

Again, I am happy to be proven wrong but based on my research that is my current opinion. The admitted flaw in my opinion is that that Schroth Quick Fit Pro's were tested with the OEM seat and not a Recaro pole positon.

I 100% agree with you and thats what im doing, right now I have the Schroth 4 point quick fit pro and it works perfect instead of the OEM seatbelt and is a huge safety plus. Then once my bank account allows ill change over to a half cage and Schroth 6 point harness. I did it this way because i bought ST60s, Pagid 29 pads, the pole positions, the CF hood, wheels and tires and I'm not rich to afford all at once. So little steps for this guy

Cool. You can add a sub strap to the quick fit pros to make them into a 5-point. That is what I would do if I were you considering your seat is compatible with a sub strap.
