M3 Hood Alignment Photo Request

Can people with E90 M3s post photos of the front of your car? I want to see the alignment of the hood with the bumper. I have a big gap between the hood and the bumper. After closer inspection, it looks as if the bumper is actually too low and unaligned with the rest of the car.

Notice around the inside of the headlight. It looks like the bumper should be a bit higher and over to the right.

I have noticed the hood alignment doesn't seem perfect on my e93 M3...will take pictures after I return from my business trip at the end of the week.

Yes. Yours is like the others I saw at the dealer that had gaps but it was still relatively minor and it did not look like the hood was open. Yours looks good to me

Theres a big gap at the bottom of your headlight Knifegun, it looks like your front bumper wasnt aligned correctly to me.

Knife, yours looks particularly bad. Mine is a E92, but should be the same front end ...

Yes, that is exactly what I pointed out to the tech. The bumper seems as if it is sitting "too low".

Thanks for the photos. I think yours definitely looks 100% better. Mine looks like the hood was left open.

No offense taken. I did not do it To be fair to the installer, the white you are seeing is wax. I have not had a chance to remove the wax from the edges.

Yeah, the problem is where he made the cuts. The better clearbra guys wrap around the edges. You see where they made the cut for the curve near the headlight and the washer, these guys don't make those kind of cuts anymore, they stretch and make it invisible. I've tried doing it myself and it's hard as hell so I can appreciate it when I see the jobs that places like Premier do. Sorry to take it off topic

Yep. I think you head on the nail. That is the same conclusion I came to because the hood is perfectly lined up with the fenders.

I went the cheap route with the premade templates which is probably why it looks so cheap I figured it will still protect the car and does not look so obvious when I have cleaned the edges. The car is dirty right now from some hill driving.

I did the clear bra on one of my cars and one side was the experiment and learn side and it looks awful. After I learned how to stretch, I did the other side and it looks great. I haven't taken the film off the bad side yet because it still works even though it looks awful. So I know the feeling...

Ha The funny thing is that this work was done by "professionals". I actually had to have them do it twice. It was 1/4 the cost of a custom job but still I paid for it. Good on ya for at least doing it yourself even if half of it is not as good as the other.
