will apperantly there was a cold start issue with the Sunco ultra 94 my M.Roadster did not like it.
I'm not going to try with ultra 94 in the E92, why take a chance, also keep in mind that petro is now carrying the ultra 94 as they are talking over Sunco gas stations.

Interesting...my old E46 M3 and my current E92 both did/do that when they're cold - maybe I'll try changing out of Sunoco gas and see if it helps!

Got a friend with a Lambo that struggles with high Octane high ethanol content fuel

I'd just stay away from it and run the Top Tier brands.

I've been a loyal Chevron customer for years. About 20 years ago, my dad had a E36 325is, and took it in to the dealership, as it was "running rough". First thing they did, was dump in some Techron, citing a fueling problem. Ever since then, if I'm driving a car I care about, it's been Chevron. The M3 gets 94. I understand that Shell is decent too though.

FYI US just approved E15 which is 15% ethanol in fuel.

Do not use this in an M3, it will cause major problems.

Do not believe the US govt that says its ok for 2007+ cars. They are idiots. This is politically driven bs pandering to the giant corn lobby in the US that the govt keeps propping up.

Govt seldom do whats best for people, that includes US and Can. Seems these days it is all about special interest groups

You guys in Quebec are lucky, your Petro Canada Superclean 94 is ethanol free!!! The Ultra 94 in Ontario is ethanol blended!

I use Petro Canada 91 here in Alberta, Ethanol Free and I work for Suncor (the parent company of Petro Canada) so we get a discount.

Shell V-Power only, I find in the normally aspirated cars its less of an issue, but the M3 and the JB 2.0 135i cab I had before respond well consistantly to Shell.

Plus our head tech at work had a session at BMW Canada whereby it was recommended by some boffins that Shell is the best in the BMW range with its mix of Alloy and magnesium internal components!

Any older BMW that comes in for an engine 'de-coke' has either been run mainly on sub 91 Ron grade fuel, or Esso strangely enough (owners feedback)!

Pioneer it would seem plays havoc with the high pressure fuel pumps and injectors in these cars too
