If the weather is sh*t this week we should all lay low. No sense in driving on bad roads in terrible conditions with summer tires.
Typical May friggin' weather We'll all get together sometime soon. Maybe we should wait till Albert gets those wheels and his Dinan toys. Gotta drive easy for a while with the new diff Albert, I heard another 1200 km wait. |

Next friday I get my Dinan toys and my rims should be in by then as well (hopefully!). My Morel stereo system will be done this week (actually with Scott right now, 3 day install will have lots of pics for you guys) and the eibachs are already on. After that all I need is my escort system installed and the AA pulley . That should be enough mods done to this cash cow for now! Ya Glenn I don't know how I am supposed to keep this newly souped up M under 5500 rpm! |

Black E90 M3 w/stock 19" XXX-389 female driver... I followed her for a few minutes coming home from the airport... she wouldn't even look at me
anyhow... pictures are always fun! This time, not a camera phone but still a shitty camera. You can see the Laser Interceptor units protruding from the 3rd vent. I asked them to put it out a little farther on purpose.

Well, V1 hardwire is less then an hour from what I can remember but for them to mount the LI in my grill and have everything level was about 9 hours. I paid a little over $600 for everything to be done.

Edit: Just called FXAudio again and now they said $1100, come on that is a bit much. Who else do you think could do this, Karmac is still hesitant. That cost is rivaling the cost of the system itself! I would like to see your system Jackolo and if I like it maybe I will just sell the escort and go your route Last edited by AMJ_77; 05-12-2009 at 01:56 PM.. |

Why didn't you go with the wireless Speed Cheetah setup? I think it would have worked out cheaper based on hourly labour rates. I am pretty sure that is the way I am going, mounting 2 in the front and 2 in the rear (I really don't like speeding tickets) Did you mount the front ones vertically? Applying the Photostopper spray to both my wife's and my plate tonite. Will run through a red light camera later this week (in my wife's car of course!) and report back to you guys on whether I get a ticket. I know there are two camps on this...but if the Denver Police say it works... . |

Harbuksh how often do you have to spray that Pam stuff on? So in a span of two weeks my car will be almost totally transformed! |

Albert,
I prefer to not think of it like Pam, more like a nice cologne. Its permanent...in fact, the stuff has things in it that cause cancer. You are supposed to apply four coats, and let it dry for one hour in between applications. So, I am going to do it outside on a newspaper with a respirator...j/k. Honestly, if it causes cancer, I am going to go on complete unscientific record and say it must be permanent. Yes! I declare photostopper permanent!!! Ok, the excitement is not wearing off...I don't know if I trust it to not come off. But honestly, I don't know that there can be enough rain to wash the stuff off. I would be more concerned with me using a pressure washer on the car and that doing something, but I will be testing that too. What I will do is do the immediate run after application, then I am going to wash my wife's car like normal and do it again. I think I will also send them an email to ask them about how permanent the stuff really is. A permanent material does not really help their business model, I would think. Albert, what about you, did you check out the Speed Cheetah for a wireless install? |

So... anyone interested in some Veil G4 for a good price? It's not good against photoradar but awesome against laser!
AMJ_77: Any reason the escort units seem to be so expensive to install compared to the Laser Interceptors? I thought about the cheetah unit but then got lazy. I booked my car and I just wanted it in and out. If I had more time and was willing to order the unit, I probably would have gone that way. And yes, the head units are mounted vertically. They're a little tilted but as long as they face perfectly down the road, it's supposed to be fine. Cancer Causing eh? You know it's high quality stuff then! Anything good in life certainly has its drawbacks. haha. I'm eager to see the results of your red light camera runs.

I hear cow dung spread over the front is good, too...I say we draw straws...shortest one has to offer their car up for testing. Seeing that it was my idea, I volunteer to hold on to the straws.
More seriously, just went and looked at the progress on the Venture Shield and tint...you boys are going to like this when you see it...can hardly wait until we all get together. |

Man Harbuksh, you're killing us.
I bet that paint is as smooth as glass. Gonna look great with the tint. Is the tint okay with our CA? That was always one of my concerns. |

Ya Glenn tint was one of the first things I did, I think it's a must but thats just me and no issues with the CA. On another note it is snowing like crazy in my home town of LLB, completely covered the ground I hope we don't get that shit! |

I recently had the pleasure of working on 2thdr's brand new E92 M3. This was my second time in The Great White North, the first time being back in 1993 when I attended the World Series. The car was in poor condition for having only two miles on the odometer. There was evidence of wet sanding, swirl marks, and even several RIDs. I had a great time meeting both you and your wife Harbuksh, hopefully I'll be seeing you in several years.
Pictorial: http://www.eclipse-motors.com/2thdr.html Taking off from LAX: Apparently the dealer tried (and failed) to wet sand the passenger side fender: Passenger side fender corrected: Completed: |

Great work as always. I wish I could have co-ordinated some work on my car.
Wtf is with the dealer doing wet sanding, that is well beyond their skills. Was this an Edm BMW car Harbuksh? Hmmmmm Glad you got an expert to work on your ride. Look at the link, Welcome to Calgary? Poor guy came to Canada and got lost. |
