I am able to get 35k miles out of my 162 18" set and now need non-RFT replacements.

What is the most bang for buck tire set now for 18"? Comfort is my #1
priority.

I am in phoenix, AZ, so I guess Summer Performance tires would be the best? I rarely drive in snow or even in rain.

I checked Costco and they don't sell tires for my car. any suggestion how/where to get a good deal?

^He doesn't need the snow rating so just go for the Conti DW Tires. They're awesome. Most popular street tire choice by far.

I switched to Michelin PS2 ZPs when my Bridgestones wore out. I like the new tires & they look swell on my 162s.

Hankook Ventus V12, very popular among the forum community and very fairly priced

I think the most votes will go for the Continental DWS or DW, as well as the Ventus V12. I myself went with the Ventus, although that was after failing ot find DW's in my required size. 10,000 miles later still happy with them.

Another thumbs up for the Hankooks. When I went from OEM 17" rims to 19" rims, I decided to be "cheap" on the rubber purchase and try out the Hankooks thinking they would probably suck. Turns out I'm totally happy with them. Great comfort, noise, and even wet traction. I suspect if I were to drive at the limits of our cars, then I might notice the difference in performance in the Hankooks versus Michelin or Continental, but 5000KM in, these are looking like a great buy that I will repeat.

I too live in AZ, and i finally took the advice of my alignment guy. I put a set of yokohama s-drives (you can get them for a good price from discount tire) and I'm totally satisfied. Dry performance is superb, so I thought for sure they would suck in what little rain we get here in AZ. Man, was I wrong.

They are awesome in the rain, as well as the dry. They fixed the pulling problem i was having after 3 brand new nitto 555's on the front of my car. My alignment guy, Hanns by the way who's terrific and inexpensive (I'll give u his info if u want) was checking my car because of the pulling issue, and told me to switch to the s-drives. He had just gotten excellent feedback from a Porsche customer who put them on. Assured me it would fix my pulling problem, and he was right. Best tire ive had on the car so far. The tread pattern looks sick to boot.....

I love my Hankook V 12's. They totally changed the way I feel about my car after riding on those runcraps.
