hey anybody download steam or counter strike on a imac

hey i was thinking about downloading steam and buying CSS on my imac. is it a good idea, i heard macs are terrible and games. will the gameplay be laggy and will my computer be slower. my computer is a 27 inch imac 27 3.06 ghz intel core 2 dou, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Yep, Macs are garbage for gaming (your CPU is fine), but depending on your graphics card you should be able to play CSS.
