N54 tuned + M3 suspension on a smaller and lighter car is awesome in my book

Although a normal BBK would have sufficed lol

Cool!

The funny thing is guys change their PCCB brakes on the GT2/3s for steel set ups when they mod and track as the PCCBs bomb out.

If you look on Sun Coast they sell the complete PCCB rotors and calipers for $9000 for a GT2 997

There's the rub ... These brakes are too delicate for the track based on everything I hear/read about CCB. One nick from a rock on the track and the rotor has to be replaced. That is why folks that track their cars don't want CCB. If you are a race team maybe because you are changing them at the end of the race anyway. I hear they also sound like a freight train at slow speed stops.

Those are absurd. I think they are a neat technology but I'd rather go through countless sets of regular rotors for one set of carbon ceramics.

I can't understand why you spent $40k on brakes yet are running a set of crappy KW's. I feel that you gained little in performance for what you paid when a better suspension such as Moton would have done more. This coming from someone with Motons.

I love my KW set up. If you choose Motons over KW thats your personal liking. Enjoy going thru countless sets of rotors. Remember its not you that spent the money on carbon brakes.

While I understand your theory with the rotors, I would highly disagree that KW suspensions are "crappy". They are quite excellent if you ask me, and I don't feel that many would disagree.

They certainly aren't performance oriented with the clubsport and competition excluded. V1-V3 comes with progressive springs and some of the "solutions" they have came out with such as rear height adjusters were ass backwards engineered. I'm sure they feel better compared to stock but for the money spent there are better options.

Anyways, back to the rotors. Just a side comment as to time spent, I doubt you are driving this daily or regularly so I don't see the relevance. I know you won't be tracking this car either so the aspect of longer track life is kind of pointless.

I'm a fan of your car but I feel like with this last mod, it was only done for bragging rights or just another check on the mod list.

From what I've read, it's all about using the right pads. The rotors will last a long time if you use the right pads.
The thin about a rock in the pad is true though.

For all those wondering why people get the, it's because they save a LOT of weight over iron rotors, which means better handling when the suspension is set up for it.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
