Test pipes
How much does it generally cost to install test pipes? I'm getting them installed on wed, just wanted a heads up before I get there. Thanks in advance

Other than the fact that you have to cut the original pipes is there any material difference between intalling a set of "test pipes" vs. purchasing lets say the Challenge Sport X-Pipe?
I realize your can't go back to OEM but there is a significant price difference enough to pay for a tune and then some. |

I could take it to auto couture but too far to drive and I did get the test pipes from them. Look great btw. We'll see tomorrow
As for DIY, don't wanna mess with cutting anything, I'll leave that to the professionals.

Just as a question, what could one use to cut the pipes? A dewalt angle grinder? Possibly thinking of a DIY myself.

You're basically doing the same thing installing the Challenge sport will do since the sport has HFCs at the secondary position like the OEM x-pipe. I'm thinking the sound may be a little nicer/louder with the challenge pipe. |
