E90M3
E90 M3 is my daily driver as well. Bought 2011.5 Brand new in March of this year. Already have almost 9K miles on it. I currently have snows on it now and can't wait to test it out.

I never hesitate to drive it, but I have a short commute and three kids, so we normally take the family cruiser (2012 Honda Odyssey). Only 6k miles on the clock after a year

I'm sitting at 6500 miles after 18 months of ownership. Low mileage just kinda happens for me due to circumstances involved with owning this car In Philly. Do I wish I drove it more, HELL YES but I'm also not sad the mileage is low in order to keep peace of mind in reference to maintenance and slight possibility of resale.

after reading this thread i think most are just concerned about the resale value..but for those that plan on keeping it, enjoy every mile out of it. I own an e46 m3 2003 with 127k miles, 6spd manual no sunroof no power seats no HK.
While, i am the third owner, i have yet to experience any problems with the car but i do have a warranty on it since its my DD at this time. I won't be selling this car as it will be a perfect track car at some point, therefore for me miles don't matter but practicality does. Car also does not eat any amount of oil (which is actually suspicious to me) because many e46 m3s do..With that being said, car pulls really strong, as if it was brand new. I keep it clean and shape even if it has this many miles. on the e92s IMO it may even be a better/reliable motor than the s54. You don't need valve adjustments like s54s do and don't hear much about any problems at all. If a s54 motor has no problems i believe the e92 m3 motor (s65 i believe) will be A okay. however, if you do have a DCT tranny, you maybe worried about your miles |

I am not worried about anything, ever Seriously, this is MY car and plan on driving it into the ground, or the wall. 2011, almost 50k on the odometer, daily driven, year round through Chicago winters. Tracked excessively, and can't think of a better way to enjoy a depreciating asset.

Like everything else, to me, it is about balance and moderation. I am one of those people who loves driving my M3 but want to keep it looking pristine as well. I have found a nice balance. It is not my DD and I don't deliberately drive it in bad weather, but I do drive it in nice weather for all sorts of varied purposes. 10000 miles in 17 months. Enough that it isn't a garage queen, but not so much that it doesn't feel special when I do drive it.

I understand your other points, but you make it seem like if someone daily drive's their M3 it for some (odd) reason wouldn't be in pristine condition. It's possible, trust me. I've seen your posts, and I think YOU personally put a little too much emphasis on the M3. Not a personal attack against you in anyway. Just pointing that out. |

Also, I didn't mean to make it sound like I thought DD'ing your M3 is odd. Not in the least. It is perfectly usable and capable as a DD, however I personally did not buy it with that in mind.

historically bmw's and other german cars run excellent well into 6 digit miles .. so i see no reason to not drive the crap out of it if thats what you enjoy to do.. if u enjoy to rub it down in your garage and cover it for 6 months at a time then u can have fun doing that too..
I have tried the whole toy and daily driver and it fails miserably for me... |

I did not buy it as a DD (M3 was 3rd car), loved driving it on sunny days or taking her out to road trips...... My fav time of the year is to take it out on sunny cold Seattle winter days where my M3 would be the cleanest car on the road..... Those are the things that I enjoyed about my car..... Of course loved detailing it. Re: Depreciation: I sold my car for almost what I paid for it new (Little over ED invoice). She was exactly 2.5 years old with only 5K miles..... My previous 335 had a very similar story as well. Keep on beating and tracking your cars people, it makes the garage queens that much more attractive..... (just kidding) Overall, people buy their cars for different purposes....... To answer Op's question: Yes, I loved driving my M3, did not mind putting miles on it and LOVED the fact it was not my DD in Seattle traffic.
