ESS 575 Autobahn fun

Got a new gopro camera, so wanted to test out mounting positions...

mods: ESS 575 + Fabspeed HFC and xpipe. Sorry, I need to put the regular case to hear the sound better...

Looks like it was accelerating hard right up to the limiter in 6th. What rear tire were you on? With stock gearing and rear tires the 6-speed runs out of gear in 6th at about 196mph at 8400rpm

Unless he's raised the limiter or changed the rearend gear or running a taller tire, he wasn't going 200mph. The super-tall DCT 7th gear will pull well over 200 with the stock gearing and tires but not the 6-speed

I did the online calculator using gear ratios and 19 inch wheels, and it came out to be 200mph for the 6spd manual car at 8400rpm... so maybe you used a different one or ratios for automatic car?

the top actual indicated speed is 337km/h= 209mph...

in whichever case, all cars speedo's lie...

just did another calculatro and it said 191mph (can't access any good calculators at work).

Anyone know the actual formula?

I believe this is the ratios:
6MT

1st: 4.055:1
2nd: 2.369:1
3rd: 1.582:1
4th: 1.192:1
5th: 1.000:1
6th: 0.872:1

Final Drive: 3.846:1

It's close enough dude, being at that speed 196+ is definitely impressive already. It's like 200 basically. The speedo said 327km/h = 203mp/h. So maybe you're off by 10 mph, 5mp/h? Not sure on how inaccurate the M3 speedos are.

Also, shouldn't we consider not only gearing but the grade of the road and wind factors that might of help push the car along to 200 mph at that point?

Impressed on how your car just keep going pretty strong all the way to 200mp/h! Dayum.
