Houston Wheel Repair
Jacked my rear wheel up . Just a nice chunk of curb rash. Any suggestions? They're the OEM GTS 359s... I'd like the paint to match lol.

You may want to try : IMC Automotive Services. Here is the website link : http://www.wheelcrafters.com/. I have never use them personally, but I got referrals on them. Ask for Hugo. Just giving out options, let us know which one that you choose and the outcome.

Just had my rear 19" 359 repaired by IMC (link in post above) and they did a great job. I had really screwed it up - it was way beyond simple curb rash and it literally looked like a brand new wheel when I picked it up a day later, and the paint matches the other wheels perfectly..
BTW I'm pretty sure a lot of dealerships farm their wheel repairs out to these guys. Take a look at their website - lots of info about repair. |

One of the first things I put together before even taking delivery was a temp spare and BMW jack set that comes w/ a really cool pre-set torque wrench. I bought it to use on trips, but it comes in handy for things just like this as well.
Search in the wheel & tire section for the details. IIRC it's a spare wheel from an X6, a centering ring, a temp tire size from some Cadillac. Important thing is that it is the correct diameter for both F & R, and that it clears the front brakes. All the details, part #'s etc. are in the thread. This is actually the first time I have ever used it & it worked perfectly. |

This morning, as I was in the right lane on Westheimer near Windsor St, a blue Honda Accord on my left decided to come into my lane, as we were rounding a particularly nasty curve. It was either swap paint, or go as far right as I could. Which meant clipping the right rear wheel on the concrete curb and mangling about 20% of the metal wheel. I stopped by WheelCrafters (IMC) today and showed it. Quote is $137.50 and five hours. To answer your question: they will give me a full-sized spare tomorrow so I can drive it out. Pricey fix, but still far far less than a body-rub on the entire left side of my car! It is, though, the first damage to my car in 17,000 miles. - V .
