Those blacklines should come standard.

I hate the big ass white backup lights. They stick out like a stiff di...

It must be a younger guy thing.

I don't see the need for it, but it doesn't look bad.

I'm not going to get them for my SG.

Blacklines and rear spoilers completes the SG E90 I think
...plus top it off with those 330i std 17" spikerspokes OEM alloys with
winter performance, and get it race dirty, looks mean!

I´m pretty sure you can get them for free from your dealer when buying a new car. Not a big cost to them, my dealer said "yeah sure" before I had finished my sentence

I do think the blacklines look better on darker cars and here's why.

The aspect of the rear-end of the E90 I dislike is the way the upper of rear lights taper downwards towards the middle of the car. I think the blacklines make this less visually apparent by reducing the contrast between the painted metal exterior and the white reversing light. Actually, perhaps you could just replace the reversing light and leave the outside red in place and get the same effect? I think having white all around also seems to carry the lines of the car better into the rear, less broken up so to speak.

So, two questions:

1. Does anyone know if the blackline lights are available in Canada, and,
2. Do they reduce the light output of the reversing lights?

Slubu: don't waste your money. They're kind of bugly/fugly. They change the harmony of the original design. Save your $$ and take a chick to the San Diego Zoo or SeaWorld instead.

I like the original L-shaped tail lights. They are traditional.

If the Blacklines were the stock tail lights, I wonder how many would purchase aftermarket ones that look like our stock ones.

Wow, man. I love the look. Especially with the OEM spoiler. I'm REALLY biased though:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12920

I actually just really wanted the amber turn signals. Originally I wanted to get the outboard Euro tail lights, you know, the ones that look like our stock lights (identical) but with amber blinkers when they light up. I really feel that amber turn signals make the car much sportier-looking. But the cost was about the same for just the outboard lights, so I went with the blacklines which included all four pieces.

I was hesistant up until the very last second. The moment that really made it for me was parking next to a completely stock Jet Black E90 (without the spoiler/blacklines). I walked away from the car and turned around.

"Man, my car looks awesome."

*hesitant
Pardon the spelling there.

Oh, two final things you probably have all heard before but here they are:

--Pictures do little justice to the actual experience (I know, trite, but true).

--The car becomes very unique. I've only seen one other car with the lights here locally, a TiAg (330i ZSP 162's ), no spoiler though.

Well I put them on...honestly I think both stock and blackline look good. The stock gives a more elegance type look, whereas the blackline gives a more sporty in your face look. Given I have tint and sport package, I think the blacklines compliment my car more...but I'm holding onto my stocks just in case I change my mind.
