E92 ED Lease Thread
I’m going to my BMW dealer this weekend to talk some numbers on a 2010 or 2011 M3 coupe. One scenario I’m considering is doing the ED program, particularly if I’m going to lease. I’m not too familiar with ED, which is why I’m stopping by the dealer, but these are the numbers I’ve come up with based on info I’ve seen in other threads:
2011 E92 M3 Invoice base: $50,000 Premium Pkg: $1820 Tech Pkg: $2960 Htd Seats: $450 Ipod/usb: $365 Alarm: $365 Gas guzzler: $1300 Destination: $825 Dealer Profit: $1000 Total: $59085 What is the ED invoice pricing for the 2011 E92? I ballparked it since the only number I could find was $49495, which was back in early 09. Also, is it actually possible to get $500 over invoice or better? Onto the lease: Using the May numbers posted for a 3yr/36k term, the residual should be 59%. Also, the base money factor is 0.00230; however, you need to add 0.0003 for doing an ED lease which makes it 0.00260. I believe you can put down up to 7 security deposits to lower your money factor by 0.00049, which will lower it to 0.00211, an interest rate of 5.064%. I think the residuals are where they should be for an M3 but the money factor is still a bit high IMO. That brings my monthly payment with 0 down to $751.58 before tax. Also I did some research and apparently as was said elsewhere BMW makes your second payment. Since my lease is not up till the end of the year, if I do ED, I’m probably not going to place an order till about end of July or beginning of August because it takes 12-14 weeks to get your car in the US. Hopefully the programs then are similar or better than what’s being offered now. |
