Garage List
BBS CH-R fitment

I am planning the following:

Front 19 x 9.5 +20 with 265/30/19

Rear 19 x 10.5 +25 with 295/30/19

Lowered on Eibachs and using PS2s, do you think this will fit well and look right?

I think you could get away with using 275/30's in the front. I would give that a try.

Why not just get the RAC wheel?

I think those will fit with no issues. The 295s will be close in the back, but I think you will be fine.

they fit great..........

mine are 20s but the width and offset are the same. My rear wheel is a +24 offset. I put a 5mm spacer in the rear to kick it out that much more. I have zero rubbing with 295/25/20 michelin PS2s.

pics!

John, do you notice any decrease in performance? Those 20 inch CH-Rs are really heavy! They look great though.

I think you will have an issue with rubbing....and handling....265 up front??????....yikes!
my suggestion would be:
245/30/19 front and 295/25/19 in the rear....a smaller sidewall in the rear will ensure you wont rub...especially after you install your springs. 265 is way to wide in the front....i think it will hinder performance....but thats just my opinion.
cheers!

265-30-19 up front will fit with no rubbing! Im lowered on H&R and track the car Even with full compression on the Nurburgring no rubbing! but the overall diameter is not optimum. You should go 255-35-19 Fr and 285-30-19 or 295-30-19 for the rear.

a 255/285 setup can be used on this for more of a stress free fitment. The rear cam handle a 295 if the right side wall height is used too. The fronts with more than 255 MAY have some issues hitting the inner fender at full lock. Depends on the tire and side profile though. the front overall diameter is what you have to pay much attention to for fitment.

i know it wont rub having 265 in the front....just saying it may hinder performance...ie: handling.

Those sizes will induce a lot of understeer.
If you are going to use this as purely a street set up, don't go overboard, you won't gain anything by adding huge tires.
I think a 265 front and 285 or 295, rear combo is a good balance, if you want to add some serious rubber IMO.

Stock suspension? You might want to max our your camber to better fit the wider rubber.

im going to be fucking pissed off if my handling suffers!

245mm in the front and 295mm in the rear will absolutely give you more understeer and possibly a poorer handling car depending on how you throw it into the corner. Think about it, you are keeping the same rubber up front but adding a lot more in the rear- this gives you less effective grip up front. When going with a 295 rear, its best to get the widest tire you can fit up front for the best balance.

hey chris, I thought i would notice a much bigger decrease in performance but I was pretty surprised. I would say 96% of the time, I cannot tell the difference. The only time i notice a decrease in performance is very high speed stuff. Basically anything over 100mph, i can feel the extra weight of the rear wheels. For example, i notice it most when revving out 3rd gear around a tight corner- I can feel the back of the car 'lifting up' as if the suspension wasnt stiff enough for the increased unsprung weight.

Im the type of person that wants to have as light a wheel as possible in all driving conditions but after having these wheels on my car for a short time, i realized that the difference in daily driving is just not an issue and the extra weight on the street simply does not matter. Maybe driving on a race track, balls out, would show the heavier side of these CH-Rs but these will NEVER see a race track (except when my car was the pace car for real races)

do you think 245 front and 285 would be significantly better than 295?

Shiggy,

What rim are you suing up front and in the rear?
I would try to use a 255 up front, and 285 out back. But it does depend on your rim width and offset.

IMO, 245 is too small for a 9" rim. You should have gone 255 or 265 up front.
