I also had outside wear on my track tires until I increased front camber to -2.8. I used to run -2.5, but it was not enough. -2.8 solved it for me. I am now getting nice even wear, I would not have guessed that -0.3 degrees would make the difference.
However with that much camber I wore the inside of my street tires (inside corded with about 4/32 left on the rest of the PSS) . It is now a question of choice, either optimize street of track tire wear. I let you guess which one takes precedence for me . |

Is there a particular reason why you think that stiffer rebound contributed to outer edge wear?

Yes, clockwise tracks only, and yes I bought Von Zoom's wheels (and conti slicks ). With the square setup I can at least rotate tires to the front left to prevent outside cording hopefully. But the outside scrubbing even at 44 psi was hard to believe. I know I enter a little too hot for some corners, but it is frustrating driving well and still getting passed by someone running a 997 gt3 on slicks at 7 or 8 10ths. Hopefully the new setup will help in that regard. |
