First Mods - Need Input!

Hey all,

Thinking of the following for the first mods on the car. Very excited to get these installed, but wanted some opinions based on the following info. Here is what/where I've decided. Feel free to chime in on any better options and/or better vendors.

Any comments are appreciated.

I'll definitely make sure to post pics and product reviews when completed.

Macht Schnell Filter + Scoops

*Heard these have been issues on 2010 models, however some have confirmed no issues.

Matte Black Grills

Thanks!

Sounds good man, but I would opt for the RPi scoops.

I would save your money on the scoops completely! I've yet to see a dyno to prove their claimed power boost.

The rest sounds good.

sounds good to me as well, but I'd skip the scoops. in my opinion the scoops are a scam... there's simply no way to ram air into a box with a hole in it.... furthermore after countless threads on the topic no one has every been able to prove any real world gains from them.

Great. Any input on why RPi is better than the Macht Schnell? Aren't they essentially the same product?

Great. I'll definitely save the dough.
I had a feeling this probably wasn't yielding much of a gain anyway.

RPi was the first company to produce and manufacture these scoops. aFe and MS, respectively, soon followed suit with their knock off designs.

Now comes the point where I sit back and enjoy the flame war that will ensue.

All ordered.
Decided against the scoops for now, but could add them at any point.

All ordering went well for each vendor.

Only thing I was slightly annoyed about was IND's ordering process. You must submit an inquiry before you can order - they contact you personally. This is great from a customer service standpoint, and I know that the products are top notch, but some things you just want to enter payment information and hit "submit" to be done with it.

Will post pics in a couple weeks when I do the installs!

Lane
