Looks awesome! I played the first but not the 2nd yet. Guess I'll have to try that one before getting the 3rd.

I have been waiting for this game since the 2nd one came out. I don't really play that many games but this one got me hooked after about 5 minutes of play time (started with the 1st game). I beat the 2nd one too quickly after it came out so I went back and played it a few more times and they were still great!! As much as I hate to say it, I'm gonna pre-order one at Walmart ($60 + tax - 20% BCB - $10 gift card).

The graphics should be insane on this one. I read that the data (number of polygons and such) that was used to create just Kratos himself wouldn't even fit on a PS2 disc. That should mean that the graphics are gonna be awesome!!

PS- I hope this 3rd installment has much longer game play time.

i hear the game is 2x longer than the 2nd and ist one, and the graphics on this are insane, i got the e3 demo withe gow collection and it was insane, probally the best graphics i have ever seen. this game is goin to be epic.

they say that it has more polygons than Drake on uncharted 2 and uncharted 2 pretty much has the best graphics up to date for the PS3.

i also have the GoW collection so im actually gonna play 1 & 2 first, then play 3 right after.

preordered GoW3 from amazon ($56.99 with release-date delivery shipping for free and also the $10 video game credit)

i never played a GoW, but I've read a lot about it recently in every magazine I've picked up this past week, (entertainment weekly, time magazine, & others). Sounds pretty good! I might just have to check this one out.

I don't think it matters really. It's kind of like Final Fantasy games. You don't have to play everything else in order to play FF XIII. However, if you want to get the full experience and know the story as a whole you should play 1&2 first.

I remember playing the 1st one a long time ago. I was hooked after 5-10 minutes. I got the 2nd one a day or two after it was released and was already looking toward the 3rd one. I was gonna play the 1&2 again before playing the 3rd one but I don't have the PS3 version and my little cousin has my PS2 copy.

I played it for about 1.5 hours. Kinda got stuck at the place where all the urns keep on dropping down you blow them up. I turned it off cus I didn't want to be playing much longer (tonight show was gonna be on soon).

Impression so far: the graphics are amazing!! Sometimes the transition is a little bit "choppy" but graphics for the most part are incredible!! The fighting system is still awesome.

yeah, my friend is gonna get it. i'm probably just gonna borrow it from him and check it out. I don't think I can go back to playing PSone or pS2 games lol not after PS3 has been out for a few years.
